Label printer and its configuration -- Dymo 450

" LabelWriter® 450 Turbo High-Speed Postage and Label Printer for PC and Mac® "


Install Label Printer according to manufacturer recommendations on your workstation or server. Please print a test print to confirm if the installation has been successful. The printer needs to be configured to print correct labels. Please follow the instructions below to configure DYMO printers through VETport. Please make sure that the correct label size is selected in VETport label setup before printing a label.

Location of Links to Print Labels


Click on "Sm Rx" link to print a small Rx label. This link can be found on the medical record of a patient against a plan item performed or an active plan item in the cart.

Label Opens in Adobe Acrobat for Printing


Click on the print icon to open the print dialog box.

Print Dialog settings for DYMO Label Writer


1) Select the correct Dymo printer from the drop down list of printers.

2) Choose scaling to be none.

3) Check preview on the right to see if the label preview looks ok. Preview of DYMO 30256 shipping label is shown on the screen. It's is in a portrait layout.

4) Click on "Properties" to set printer properties. ( See next sub-section to check the properties settings)

5) Press OK to print.

DYMO Properties Settings


1) Click on Properties

2) Click on Advanced

3) Change Paper size to actual label size.

4) Click OK

5) Click OK
