Legacy - Configuring Idexx Reference Labs
Customers in the US can contact IDEXX customer support at 888-433-9987. Ask for the username and password needed to have results download into the VetPort software. This is not your VETconnect account number and password. This is another username and password that IDEXX will give you to configure VETPORT with the same so that VETPORT is able to download the results from IDEXX VETCONNECT.
Click on Setting & Reports drop down box. Then click on Settings
Click on Labs, Other 3rd Party then click on Configuration under Idexx Setup Tables
Mapping Idexx Gender with VETport Gender
Go to Settings and Reports >> Settings >> Labs, Other 3rd Party and Peripherals >> Idexx setup tables > Idexx Gender / Reproductive Category.

Call Idexx at 888-433-9987 to get this information.
Click on Import Idexx Gender to Import the list of Idexx Genders
If its your first time setting up idexx OR if you feel some idexx genders are missing / Not downloaded please click on
1) Import Idexx gender
OR else
2) To link with VETport gender click on edit for particular gender

Click on the Edit button to Map the Idexx Genders to the Vetport Genders.
On the Edit page you can see the Vetport Species and gender
Click on the Idexx Gender and select the Idexx Gender from the list.
Once selected click on modify gender to save the changes.
Mapping Idexx Species with VETport
Go to Settings and Reports >> Settings >> Labs, Other 3rd Party and Peripherals >> Click on Idexx Species / Animal Group.
Click on the Import Idexx Species Button to import the list Idexx Species and their code.
Clicking on the Import Idexx Species imports the list of species and their codes on idexx.
Each of these Idexx Species can be mapped to a Species on Vetport.
You can map the Idexx Species to a Vetport Species by clicking on the Edit button next to the Species name.

Mapping Idexx species to the Vetport Species
After clicking the Edit button you can click on the Magnifying glass on the Vetport Species field to bring up the window with the list of species on Vetport
Please select the appropriate species on this list and click Modify Species.
Once done. You will now be able to see the Vetport Species against the Idexx Species and Code.
Note: You can map one VETport species to only one Idexx species. If the Spcies in not on the Vetport species list, you will need to add the species on Vetport first.
Mapping Idexx Breed with Vetport Breed
Go to Settings and Reports >> Settings >> Click on Idexx Breed / Subgroup Code under Labs, Other 3rd Party and Peripherals.
Click on the Import Idexx Breed Button to import the list Idexx Breed and their code.
Click on the Magnifying glass in Idexx species field to search for the list of Idexx Species.
Select the Species and click the Search button to show the list of Breeds under the selected species

Click the Edit button to Map the Idexx Breed to Vetport Breed.
In the above example we are looking at Canine Species and their Breeds.
By Clicking on the Edit button we will be able to Map the "Affenpinscher" Breed from Canine Species to a Breed in Vetport.
Mapping the Breed
Once selected click modify to save changes.
Now you can see that the Vetport Breed shows up against the Idexx breed.
1. Click on Idexx Plan Item, Codes and Relation with Clinic Plan Item
Click on Import Idexx Plan Items
Plan items should download. Now you need to create a relationship between Idexx Plan Item Names
Click the edit button to open the screen to map the idexx plan item to the vetport plan item
Select the appropriate plan item for the idexx plan item.
Note: One Vetport plan item can be mapped to only one idexx plan item.
This will add the relationship between Idexx Plan Items and Your Clinic Plan Items.
You can see the associated VETport Plan item against the Idexx Plan item and code.
You are ready to move on to the next Idexx Plan Item and build your next relationship.
The VETport plan items produced will need to have costs associated with it now
